E-Verify Funding Extended

The House Appropriations Committee has approved a two-year extension of the E-Verify employment verification program.  Specifically, the reauthorization will extend funding for E-Verify through fiscal year 2012 and was part of the Department of Homeland Security’s $42.6 billion spending package for fiscal year 2010. The current authorization for E-Verify is set to expire on Sept. 30, 2009.
