WEBINAR- Department of Labor's (DOL) Labor Condition Application (LCA)
It seems that immigration law is becoming more complex with each passing day...and it is! One area which is common to many of our clients is the Department of Labor's (DOL) Labor Condition Application (LCA) which must be filed and certified for H-1B, H-1B1 and E-3 nonimmigrant cases. The DOL has recently changed the LCA process and has also increased its enforcement efforts. LMAC has created a webinar on this topic which will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 8:30-9:30 am (PST). The following topics will be covered:
-What is a Labor Condition Application?
-What employer attestations are covered by this filing?
-What is the prevailing wage and how is it determined?
-What is LMAC's procedure for the preparation and submission of a Labor Condition Application on behalf of an employer/company?
-What is the Public Access File and what documents is the employer required to maintain within this file?
-What happens if the salary paid to the employee, the work location of the employee or the position of the employee changes after the Labor Condition Application is certified by the DOL?
Please note that space will be limited. If you are interested in participating, please contact Amanda Bodine at amanda@larrabee.com by end of business on Thursday, November 19, 2009. If you have friends or colleagues who may be interested in attending, feel free to share this information with them. We would be happy to have others participate (assuming space is available).
